    <para>Open the Search and replace window with <keycombo>
        <keycap>Ctrl</keycap>

        <keycap>K</keycap>
      </keycombo> and enter the word or expression you wish to replace in the
    <emphasis>Search for</emphasis> box.</para>

    <para>Then click on <emphasis>Search</emphasis> button to display all the
    corresponding occurrences.</para>

    <para>Enter the new word or phrase (regular expressions are not supported) in the
    <emphasis>Replace with</emphasis> box, then click one of the following options:
    <itemizedlist>
        <listitem>
          <para><emphasis role="bold">Replace All:</emphasis> operates
          replacement of all occurrences (after displaying a confirmation
          window where the number of occurrences is shown).</para>
        </listitem>
      </itemizedlist><itemizedlist>
        <listitem>
          <para><emphasis role="bold">Replace:</emphasis> operates a "one by
          one" replacement, by the mean of buttons in the <emphasis
          role="bold">header of the Editor pane</emphasis>. Click
          <emphasis>Replace Next</emphasis> or <emphasis>Skip</emphasis>, then
          end the replacement session with <emphasis>Finish</emphasis>.</para>

          <para><emphasis role="bold">Close:</emphasis> close the window
          without any change.</para>

      <title>Search options</title>

      <para>Search options are similar to the ones displayed in <link
      linkend="section.search.window">Search window</link>.</para>

      <para>Except one: check <emphasis role="bold">Untranslated</emphasis> in
      order to operate Search and replace also on segments that have not been
      translated yet.</para>

      <para>To make it possible (although Search and replace operates only on
      memory), OmegaT will copy the source segment to the target segment
      before the replace operation occurs. If no replacement is done to a
      given segment, the target segment will be “emptied”, i.e., it will
      remain untranslated.</para>
