Location Object

Either create a model/migration for a location, or add location field(s) to the Event model. Update the event screen to be able to add these event fields, or add a new location-add screen (so the event creation is a two step form), that saves the event in a non-completed state, and moves to the location-add screen before saving it. Similar to the snapchat geofilter site.

Done as latitude and longitude fields on the Event model.
It's just a single page form now.
Javascript should be able to handle two-step forms.
