Read this guide to get started on Pivotal Cloud!

If you are a Mac user, please follow installation instructions by reading the Mac OS section in this link: http://tcserver.docs.pivotal.io/docs-tcserver/topics/install-getting-started.html

  1. Once logged into your Pivotal Cloud account, visit https://console.run.pivotal.io/tools and install the Cloud Foundry CLI. You can follow the instructions on this page to understand how to use the CLI on your command prompt/terminal.

  2. To begin application development you are going to have to download the Pivotal Cloud Tomcat Server. You can see them on this link https://network.pivotal.io/products/pivotal-tcserver and we are recommended to select the Pivotal tc Standard Edition 3.2.1

  3. Once you open that folder on the webpage you will be prompted to select from a file to download. I would recommend that you select the .zip or .tar.gz file.

  4. When you try to download, you will be prompted to login/register. This will happen if you haven't editing your Pivotal Cloud account to include your name and organization information. Just select "login" and fill in the necessary information and you may go back to the page to complete your download.

  5. Once installed, download this. You can follow installation instructions if you need at http://tcserver.docs.pivotal.io/docs-tcserver/topics/install-getting-started.html#install

  6. You need to have the Ant builder on your computer, but if you have Eclipse installed on your computer then you should be all set with this step.
