Food has a special meaning to the Chinese people. With thousands of years of history and development, there is a remarkable diversity of cuisines and food in China, which will take a lifetime if you want to taste them all!

Our cuisine hails from the province of Schezuan and the city of Chong Qing. With a variety of chili peppers, at least 20 different kinds and using Chinese medicinal herbs promoting longevity and good health. The tradition of Chang's Garden is all about bringing family and friends together to experience the joy of cooking and the love of sharing food with each other.

We are the first restaurant from Chong Qing in Storrs! And we provide our clients with the most authentic and easy way to enjoy Chinese food. We offer 50 different ingredients to choose from and create your own meal.We also offer traditional Chinese grilled fish, our clients being able to choose our fresh fish from our fish tank!

Our specialty, Happy Family, has been a merry ritual and festive dish enjoyed by many. It’s a communal dish that features a collection of ingredients of guests’ choice, wok-fried over high heat along with twenty-four spices and Chinese medicines, elevated with abundance of chili pepper, results in a complex and exciting flavor profile. Offered in four spicy levels from non-spicy to super-spicy, the dish is comforting, customizable, loved by everyone.

Retro style Chinese designs are blended with romantic and nostalgic elements. The rooms are warm toned and glows in soft light from bare bulb pendant lights, and guests sits in vintage metal and wood chairs and tables. The vibe is energetic yet relaxing.
