\subsection{Locating Performance Bottlenecks}
\label{Locating Performance Bottlenecks}
When examinging the data produced from this research, one has to look for a limitation or "caping" of the data captured. These limiting points represent times when the total amount of data throughput, IO events managed, number of clients, etc. reaches some cap (or high point) where the system is unable to push harder (e.g. more throughput, more IO events, greater number of clients). Traditionally these bottlenecks are due to physical limitations of a system, but can just as easily come from human-based sources (e.g. implemnentation, bad code writing, unexpected raceconditions or user activity).
